Each Year, the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States recognizes the nation's top
classroom elementary, junior high and high school teachers who teach citizen education
topics regularly and promote America's history an traditions effectively.
Individuals can be nominated by themselves, fellow teachers, supervisors, family members
or other interested individuals by submitting an Entry Form (see below) along with
supporting information to a local participating VFW Post (like VFW Post 2290 in Manville).
The nominees received at that Post will be judged against other nominees
in their grade level (K-5, 6-8 and 9-12) with the winners forwarded to
District, State and National for judging against their peers.
Nominations must be received by the Post by October 31, 2026.
